December 21st is Make Music Day Winter
First launched in New York in 2011, Make Music Day is a free, worldwide, musical event celebrated each year on the summer and winter solstices. To surprise and delight passengers, SJC is proud to participate by providing a free venue in exchange for free performances by local artists.

Sharat Lin
Sharat Lin performs the Dance of Peace that interprets passionate positive music and lyrics into inspiring movements that instill peace and joy into every heart and engage people in building inclusive community. He sees dance as medium of playful resilience, healing and liberation. He has danced in many art spaces, stages, festivals, farmers' markets, parades, marches, parks, monuments, community centers, libraries, BART stations, airports and malls. He invites audiences to join in dancing, movement, or simply making rhythms. Sharat Lin is a dancer, artist, community activist, discoverer, writer, lecturer and photojournalist in San José.
2pm - 3pm
Superlative Chamber Group
The group originated from U Music, a music school that mainly focuses on piano and percussion. Most of the young children coming to U Music are around the age of four and five with a passion to learn something new. This group had an interest in playing instruments and made a hobby of it. Eventually, they formed a chamber group when they were a 9 years old with the assistance of Teacher Anne, a pre-college percussion teacher and Ms. Wang Yù Lín, the president of U Music. They share their music with the assistance of Joy Liu, a well known percussionist from Taiwan.

Santa Clara Valley Fiddlers Association
The Santa Clara Valley Fiddlers Association (SCVFA) is an all volunteer-operated organization dedicated to the preservation, teaching and enjoyment of traditional music for the fiddle and other instruments. It was founded in San Jose, California in 1973. The purpose of the organization is to carry on activities intended to revive, study and perpetuate traditional music. Participants range in age from under 8 to over 80 and may play or just listen to the music. SCVFA takes pride in ‘passing it on’ to musicians and listeners of all ages and abilities SCVFA believes that our project is fundamentally improved by diversity and inclusion. SCVFA is at all times committed to providing an open, safe and welcoming environment for all our members and guests. They celebrate the varied abilities, ethnicities, sexualities, ages, gender identities, religions and cultural backgrounds of our community, and do not tolerate discrimination based upon these or other differences.

MiFaSol Band
The Mi Fa Sol Band is composed of young members of the Tran and Loh families. The band is located in the Bay Area and frequently performs for charity drives and organizations that include Buddhist temples, churches, community events, Senior Community and retirement homes, AAPI, Streets festivals, throughout the Bay Area and beyond. The Band performs American songs, Vietnamese songs, solo/ensemble instrumental music, as well as traditional Vietnamese instruments. All band members started receiving private musical lessons at very young ages and would love to share their musical talents to entertain others as well as to practice their stage performance skills.
