Women of Aviation Worldwide Week - Featuring Seerit, SJC's Civil Engineer

Meet Seerit, one of Mineta San José International Airport's (SJC) shining Civil Engineers.

Seerit recently celebrated her “3rd” birthday with her SJC Family, supporting the Planning and Development (P&D) Division as an Engineer I.

Seerit is a member of the Project Delivery Team responsible for delivering capital improvement projects within SJC's Capital Program. As a Project Manager, Seerit oversees a project's evolution from the programming efforts involved to the project's substantial completion/closeout. This can be challenging as these projects involve constant juggling, and balancing complex components within the work scope.

During her time at SJC, Seerit has gained a tremendous amount of hands-on experience assisting and overseeing multiple airfield and capital improvement projects, including the successful installment of the Proterra Bus Chargers' for our Zero-Emission Buses. She managed to deliver the project within budget and schedule, which can be quite a feat managing various external and internal stakeholders.

In December 2020, Seerit presented at her alum's Introduction to Engineering class. Seerit shared with the class about her vital role as an Engineer I at SJC, and what she does and accomplishes in a day’s work.

A Bay Area native, Seerit earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from San Francisco State University. Seerit has many inspirations in her career, and sees this as only the beginning of her upward growth as an Engineer.
