The Ernie + Friends merch collection has grown again: Say Aloha to Robbie!

This laid-back baby chick wears an Aloha shirt, because his favorite place to fly is Hawaii.

He's always mixing up airports and flights (don’t ask about Costa Rica) – but when it comes to the Hawaiian islands, Robbie knows there's no going wrong. Whichever island you land on, you'll have the time of your life. And SJC has nonstop service to Kauai, Kona, Maui AND Oahu!

To celebrate the arrival of this new plushie, we've teamed up with Hawaiian businesses across the Bay Area: Pau Hana Shave Ice in San José, Ululani’s Hawaiian Shave Ice in Livermore, Pono Hawaiian Grill in Santa Cruz and Kai’s Ohana Shave Ice & Creamery in Hollister. Here’s how you can get one for yourself:

  1. Starting Saturday, Nov. 7, 2026, visit one of the participating businesses.
  2. When you arrive, find an employee and tell them, “Robbie sent me!”
  3. The first 75 people to do this will receive their very own Robbie plushie. The next 300 people will receive an exclusive Robbie sticker. This promotion will run while supplies last.

If you aren’t able to grab a plushie during this giveaway, we plan to have chances for you to win them at SJC events in 2027. They are currently not available for sale.

One item (plushie or sticker) per person. No purchase necessary to receive an SJC item (but we recommend supporting these businesses). The Aloha Robbie! Plushie Giveaway is subject to federal, state and local laws and regulations and void where prohibited by law. City of San José employees, its subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, partners, advertising and promotion agencies, and directors (collectively the “Employees”), as well as members of an Employees' immediate family and/or those living in the same household of Employees are ineligible to participate in the Aloha Robbie! Plushie Giveaway.  

Community members can participate and receive an item starting Saturday, Nov. 7, 2026, while supplies last.
